GETTING STARTED

Start where
your curiosity is.

There is no single right first step. Choose the path that matches what you are making.

I’m choosing a CMS.

Start with the beginner’s guide, compare static and dynamic workflows, then test a small content model.

I want to make something.

Try a starter in the Design Lab. Preview a layout, change its palette, and export the HTML.

I’m exploring AI tools.

Begin with a useful brief, then understand data handling and the permissions behind connected actions.

Make your first step small enough to finish.

Choose one page, one content type, or one design direction. Work with material you understand, and write down what a successful result should do. A finished small test is easier to evaluate than a large collection of almost-connected ideas.

Trying the Design Lab

Use the layout and palette buttons to change the local preview. Wide and narrow views help you inspect the starter. Export HTML downloads a self-contained page; it does not publish to a host. The lab does not save a project between page visits, so export a result you want to keep.

Reading with a purpose

Each Journal article has a contents list, related reading, a category, and tags. Use the category pages to focus on a topic, or the tag pages to connect ideas across topics. The RSS feed includes the complete article bodies for feed readers.

Preparing to publish

Replace starter content with your own verified information. Test the exported files over HTTP, inspect every route and action, and confirm your domain and contact arrangements before release. The publishing walkthrough gives you a repeatable handoff.

A blank canvas. A fresh possibility.

Your next great idea belongs online.

Start with a layout. Explore the possibilities. Take your HTML with you.
